Our desire is for you to enjoy the vast, ocean-deep pleasures of God more than the mud-puddle pleasures of wealth, power or lust. Psalm 16:11 says, “You show me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy, in Your right hand are pleasures for evermore.” Since God is the source of our greatest delight then God is our most precious treasure; which makes us radically God-centered and not self-centered. And if we treasure God most, we glorify Him most.
A lot of folks hear about us and ask what type of church we are. In a nutshell, we are a Bible-based congregation of baptized believers who adhere solidly to the theology of seeking our joy and pleasure solely in Christ, also known as Christina Hedonism, and who emphasize:
- God-Centered Worship,
- Expositional Preaching,
- Christ exalting Gospel
- Exegetical/Biblical Theology,
- Christian Joy
- God-Centered Disciplemaking
- Worldwide Missions and Evangelism,
- Biblical Leadership and Church Membership.
Denominationally, we are in friendly cooperation with with the Southern Baptist Convention. We teach and preach the Scriptures expositionally. We deisre the recovery of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in local churches. We believe intrinsic to this recovery is the promotion Gospel Growth in the areas of worship and witness. We takes as one of our our theological confessions the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message and desire to encourage others to return to and promulgation of the biblical gospel that our Southern Baptist forefathers held dear.
